Floating Breakfast
In your villa's private pool · In the morning · Ordered the night before
The bamboo tray floating on the water, in the same three families served at Faifo. It needs a villa with a pool of its own.
Faifo cooks it beside the main pool, from 06:30 to 22:30, on a menu of 43 dishes that also runs to pizza and pasta.
From 06:30 to 23:00 one of the three is serving. It is the kind of detail nobody advertises and everybody notices at four in the afternoon.
06:30 – 22:30, kitchen closes at 22:00. Breakfast and dinner à la carte, beside the main pool and looking onto the garden.
10:00 – 19:00. On the edge of the main pool: cocktails, draught beer, frozen margaritas, smoothies and light food, served to your lounger.
17:00 – 23:00. Bar and tables, sport on screen, and the hours after dinner — which around here almost nobody covers.
Half of Faifo's menu is not Vietnamese, and that is not an accident: the hotel feeds families who have spent the whole day out in Hoi An. Pizzas — Margherita, Hawaiian, Seafood — pasta, grilled Australian beef, BBQ ribs, teriyaki chicken, Caesar salad with chicken, a Hoi An seafood soup and a children's menu.
The signature is the Belhamy Pizza, Pizza Cá Hồi on the Vietnamese side of the card: salmon, tomato sauce, cherry tomato and mozzarella. It carries the name of the hotel, which is a thing you only do with a dish you are sure of.
They are not on the card and they are not in the rate: the kitchen builds them for a day you name. All three are asked for ahead and paid at the hotel.

Every evening, 18:00 – 21:00 · At Faifo · Minimum 2 people
A Vietnamese tasting menu of this town, put on a set menu instead of a card. Ask for it a day ahead.
In the garden, in the evening · Private, minimum 2 people
Avocado and sesame salad with prawn, a beef roll with cheese and dark sauce, and dessert. Ask for it a day ahead.
Central Vietnam is the sharpest cooking in the country: chilli, shrimp paste and herbs served on their own plate. Hoi An is the town that wrote it down.
Roast pork, cao lau noodle, spring onion, cracker and local herbs. The dish of Hoi An: it is not made anywhere else.
Hoi An chicken rice: chicken, papaya, onion, carrot, Vietnamese coriander and the town's own chilli sauce.
Beef or chicken, pho noodle, bean sprouts, coriander, basil, lime and chilli.
The Vietnamese baguette: char siu pork, sausage, pâté, cucumber, lettuce and mint.
Fresh spring rolls: prawn, pork, rice paper and herb from Trà Quế.
Cham Island seafood spring rolls: prawn, squid and onion, with plum sauce.
Green mango salad with beef: sirloin, green mango, mint, peanut and a prawn cracker.
Hoi An seafood soup: prawn, squid, egg, carrot and corn.
Vietnamese, international and healthy, all three at Faifo. Depending on how full the hotel is that morning it is served as an open buffet or as three plated set menus, one per family: the two versions cover the same ground, what changes is the mechanics and not the offer. It is in the rates with breakfast, and it can be added to a room-only rate.

A bowl of soup at seven in the morning is the local normal, and it is the version of breakfast that changes the shape of your day.

The one that gets a nine-year-old out of the room without a negotiation, on the fourth morning of the trip.

Fruit, leaves and something on toast. It is also the set that can go out on the water, if your villa has a pool of its own.
The Pool Bar works from the edge of the main pool, 10:00 to 19:00, and it serves to the lounger: cocktails, draught beer, frozen margaritas, natural juices, smoothies, sandwiches and light food. Pool, bar and restaurant are one continuous space — you go from one to the next without leaving the grounds or changing.
There are two welcome drinks and they divide the house. Le Belhamy Smoothie carries no alcohol — pineapple, banana, mango and coconut milk. Belhamy Twist does, and it is poured at the Sport Bar.
Three places, and between them there is always one open, from 06:30 to 23:00. Faifo is the restaurant — breakfast and à la carte dinner, 06:30 to 22:30, kitchen closes at 22:00. The Pool Bar serves drinks and light food by the main pool, 10:00 to 19:00. The Sport Bar covers the evening, 17:00 to 23:00. And yes: the Hoi An dishes are the heart of the menu — cao lầu, which is only made in this town, chicken rice, phở, fresh spring rolls with herbs from Trà Quế.
Yes, if your villa has a private pool: the floating breakfast comes out on a bamboo tray — a full set, Vietnamese, international or healthy, with a drink. Order it the day before at reception. It is charged separately from the rate.
Yes, and the room decides how many of you fit: the Private Pool Villa and the Private Pool Sea View Villa sleep four, the Ocean Duplex Villa and the Junior Suite three, and the Duplex Villa two plus one. One of the five Ocean Duplex is set up for a family with a child under twelve. Faifo has a children's menu, and Bamboo Spa has a treatment for under-tens — facials from twelve, massages from sixteen. If you need a cot or an extra bed, send it as a special request when you book: reception checks it with housekeeping and comes back to you before you travel.
Allergies, diets and children's meals are easier to solve before you arrive than at the table. Send it as a special request and it goes to reception, who check it with the kitchen before confirming anything back to you. Faifo has a children's menu, and the à la carte has its vegetable and salad half.
