New Pool Villas · Phases 4 and 5

New villas with a pool are going up at this end of the grounds. The work is visible from the path, and those villas cannot be booked yet.

11

Padel courts & academy · coming soon

The next thing coming to the grounds: padel courts, with a coaching academy alongside them. Nothing can be booked yet.

Padel, on its way to the grounds

The resort's next addition is padel: courts inside the grounds, and a coaching academy beside them — a coach, levels and a timetable, which is what turns a court into a reason to come back tomorrow. There is no date to promise and nothing can be booked yet; the day there is, this page will say so.

If you want to hear first, tell us and we will write to you the week it opens. Just that — no newsletter.

Blue tile, and the grove closing three sides

The Primary Pool runs along the front of the grounds, with the coconut grove behind it and the bamboo pavilion at one end — the only shade that still works at two in the afternoon. The Pool Bar sits on the edge of the water, so ordering something does not mean getting out.

It is not the only water on the grounds. The sea block has its own shared pool for the Ocean Villas, and the Duplex Villas share the Pool Central. The villas with a private pool do not need any of them: their water is inside the wall.

The path to the sand goes past the kitchen garden

Brick paths cross the gardens from the blocks to the beach gate, with hammocks strung between the trunks along the way. They come with no timetable, and that is the point. At the far end the grove opens onto Hà My: the beachfront belongs to the hotel and you reach it without crossing a public road.

Halfway along is the Eco Garden, the hotel's own plot of herbs and vegetables. It is the tangible piece of the resort's sustainability, and it stops there: a kitchen garden that exists says more than a list of pledges with nothing behind it.

Four things about the beach, before you go in

Hà My is an open beach and it is not a pool. Nothing is set up on the sand either: no loungers, no umbrellas, no beach bar — the shade and the hammocks are back in the grove. None of this is small print: it is what the hotel would rather you read here than find out on the sand.

01

Swim inside the marked area

The safe stretch is signposted on the sand. Outside it, nobody swims.

02

There is no lifeguard

Not on the hotel's stretch and not on the rest of Hà My. Swimming is on your own responsibility, and if you are travelling with children this is the line to read twice.

03

What comes in with you goes out with you

The beach gets cleaned, and it stays clean because of what nobody leaves on it.

04

Nature and local culture come first

The dunes, the palms and the people who work this stretch of coast were here first. The hotel asks that you treat them that way.

The practical half

What is Hà My beach like?

Hà My is one of the best preserved stretches between Hoi An and Da Nang, and one of the quietest: open sand and a coconut grove behind it, with far fewer people than the beaches next to town. The access is direct from the resort: you walk out through the coconut grove without crossing any public road. Two things worth knowing before you swim: bathing is only allowed in the marked safe area, and there is no lifeguard — the sea is your own responsibility.

Is there a spa?

Bamboo Spa, with its reception at lobby level. There are indoor cabins, a couples' room, a foot reflexology pool and a thermal circuit — sauna, jacuzzi and steam room — that comes with any treatment and can also be booked on its own, free if you are staying in a villa. Twenty treatments and two packages on the menu. The spa's hours change with how the hotel is running, so ask for the hour you would like: book 24 hours ahead if you can, at the spa reception or from your room; two hours is enough if there is a slot free.

Are there bicycles, and can I cycle into Hoi An?

The hotel has bicycles, free, every day, for getting around inside the resort — they stay inside it. Hoi An is another matter, and a good one: it is the way half the town moves, and the coast road is flat all the way, 8 km of it with the rice fields on one side. If you want a bike to ride in, ask us when you book and we will tell you how to get hold of one.
